Statement questions can be used to express surprise or disbelief.
You’re not married?
They won the game?
He does?
For added effect, you can add a wh- word.
You did what?
She went where?
Aren’t you going to the dance?
Haven’t you been there before?
Isn’t that Doctor Zimbango?
Is it the blue one, or the red one?
Would you like some tea or coffee?
