From values of people to values in the workplace, family, and society, this powerfully provocative book challenges ESL students to explore and clarify their own values while simultaneously building their conversation skills. Each of the 30 self-contained, two-page units provides opportunities for expression in a comfortable atmosphere. The units open with a page-long dialogue that students can read and listen to on the included audio CD. The dialogue is followed by a page of exercises exploring various points of view on the topic, giving a chance for students to outline their opinion on the topic, and presenting a values survey for students to gather opinions from others.
